At times we may feel weak. brittle. completely and utterly helpless. Feeling these ways can question our very own ability to overcome and persist during challenging times; especially if we are hit at every single angle. We turn around, and boom! Life happens. We re-route, and boom! Life happens. We beg and plead for change, and boom! Life happens. The human body was built to only handle so much, before our mind breaks. It’s very tempting to develop a victim mindset. Let’s face it, if you feel like nothing is going right it’s hard to see and notice the stuff that is working out for you. It’s hard to not get caught up in all of the events that led to us ruminating on how things haven’t worked out. Doing so can create feelings of hopelessness for the future, but like in everything we do, we have a choice. We can choose to get stuck in all the mess or we can keep pushing. So how can you thrive, in the middle of the worst sandstorm? What changes do you need to make to see a way out? What tools do you need to break through? What can you tell yourself, so when your thoughts want to fight against you, you know how to respond? What needs to change in this moment so you can rise above?
Live mindfully, hopeful and persevere.
